A software synthesizer with three oscillator slots, dedicated sub and noise, two filter slots, the Glass modal resonator, a 48-slot modulation matrix and nine effects. Anneal hears a dropped sound and breeds editable patches toward it, fully local.


Why it exists
Build across oscillators, filters, modulation and effects, or drop audio into Anneal and let an evolutionary search breed four ordinary, editable patches toward it on your own machine. The result is a starting point for editing, not a promise of exact resynthesis. Either way you end up in the same place: a patch made of ordinary parameters you can keep shaping.

01 · Oscillators
Three slots. Any source in each.
Wavetable, analog morph and sample in each of the three slots, with dedicated sub and noise sources beside them, 16-voice unison per slot and FM and ring cross-modulation between them. 80 in-house wavetables ship, with zero third-party content.
02 · Filters
Two ZDF slots and the Glass resonator.
Route the two filter slots in series, parallel or split. The ladder self-oscillates in tune within plus or minus 0.1 cents across five octaves, and per-voice analog drift is seeded, so offline bounces are bit-reproducible. Glass is a modal resonator bank as a first-class per-voice filter: Material, Size, Position, Damp and Shimmer, with 82 factory Glass patches carrying the signature timbre.
03 · Modulation
A 48-slot matrix that modulates itself.
Four DAHDSR envelopes, four LFOs, random and chaos sources and a 48-slot matrix whose depths are automatable and themselves modulatable. Every factory patch names four macros, so the useful movement is on the panel before you open the matrix.
04 · Anneal
Drop a sound. Get four patches back.
Anneal hears a dropped sound and an evolutionary search breeds four ordinary, editable patches toward it, fully local. No account, no connection; it works on a plane. In the self-recovery eval it recovered 6 of 6 within the family bar. It is a starting point, never exact resynthesis.

The Glass modal resonator turns any source physical: Material, Size, Position, Damp and Shimmer, per voice, with 82 factory Glass patches to start from.
Performance
MPE end to end with bend accuracy measured at minus 0.2 cents, four named macros on every factory patch, and 28 dedicated MPE patches in the library.
