What we collect
- Email address, and a name if you give one, when you join the waitlist, request a 14 day trial, buy a plugin, or write to support. It is how licenses reach you and how we answer you.
- Machine codeswhen you activate a plugin. The plugin's license panel shows a code that identifies that computer to the licensing system; we store it so we can enforce the activation limit and let you free a machine later. It contains no files, usage data, or audio.
- Order references from Paddle when you buy: transaction id, product, and the email Paddle has for you, so we can issue and later look up your license.
- IP addresses, transiently, to rate limit the licensing endpoints. They are not attached to your profile or used for anything else.
What we do not collect
Payment data is handled entirely by Paddle.com, our merchant of record. Card numbers, billing addresses, and tax details go to Paddle, not to us. The plugins themselves phone nothing home: license checks happen against a signed file on your machine, and offline machines are activated by downloading that file from the license portal.
Analytics and cookies
The site sets no tracking cookies of its own. If analytics are enabled, they run through Google Tag Manager and may set cookies subject to Google's policies; we use them to count page views and see which products people look at, nothing more. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers.
Where your data lives
License and trial records are stored in a Neon Postgres database. Email is sent through Resend, which processes the recipient address to deliver the message. Paddle holds the payment records. All three are established processors with their own security and privacy commitments.
How long we keep it
License records are kept for as long as the license exists, so we can reissue keys and honor activations years later. Waitlist emails are kept until you unsubscribe. Support email is kept as long as it is useful for helping you.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, the CCPA, and similar laws you can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, or ask for deletion. Email support@vitricaudio.com from the address in question and we will handle it; deletion removes your personal details from license, order, and trial records. Note that deleting the email attached to a license means we can no longer resend that license to you.
Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Transactional email, such as a license delivery you just requested, is sent regardless because it is the product working.
